On-tap served in a snifter at Hair of the Dog, Bangkok.
Almost crude black in color, it comes with pretty good creamy brown head that stands with pretty good retention before gradually collapsing to some bubble sheet atop and leaving lots of patchy and spotty lace on the glass-side.
In a nose, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted, caramel, vanilla, dark bread, lactose, subtle mango, sticky rice, slight coconut, and burnt sugar.
The taste is exactly like the aroma. Chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted, caramel, vanilla, dark bread, lactose, subtle mango, rice, slight coconut, and burnt sugar with some bitterness mainly from roasted and partially from hop also some sweet residual in the aftertaste.
Rather full body with slight sticky touch and smooth mouthfeel through the palate, the feeling is well-rounded with moderate carbonation and some crispness. Finish is pleasantly dry.
Mainly it is still the great Beer Geek that we know plus with the addition of all the special ingredients reflecting of Thai’s famous.

Draft pulled into a small tulip glass. A veritable liquid dessert! Appearance is a dark brown black, topped with a very thin and transient layer of tan froth. Appears very viscous, coating the sides of the glass generously with thick lacing. Aromas is dominated by roasted malts and chocolates. Taste too, is rich and thick, chocolate, caramel, molasses with a heavy cloying sweetness and a bourbon like booziness. There is supposed to be jasmine, mango, lactose and sticky rice in the mix, but the tastes are not distinct. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous, creamy, coating the mouth with the delicious tastes, giving a long lasting aftertaste.

Smell: really dark roasted coffee dark fruit grape some vanilla.
Taste: this is really fruity upfront In a bad way mango and grape cough syrup middle of the mouth some vanilla sweetness some dark roasted coffee in the finish you get some dark roasted malt and more of that artificial cough syrup flavor.
Feel: Full body the lactose makes this beer creamy and smooth the highlight of the beer.
Overall: Besides the mouthfeel this beer isn't very good weird artificial and cough syrup flavors along with some roast. Would never buy this again.

Interesting beer, pours a dark brown almost black with a deep brown head. Nose is roasted malts creamy chocolate and steamed white rice. Taste is smoooooth...very creamy. Milk chocolate, whipping cream, light coconut milk, mango and mellow/bland cook rice. Interesting when I read it was brewed with jasmine rice so I found myself looking for the rice and believe me it is there but as rice goes the character it imparts in this beer is blandness. Creamy silky smooth body. Low on bitterness and extreamly easy to drink for the ABV.

Really dark brown color with brown head. Aroma has some kind of dark berry notes, coffee and chocolate. Taste starts bittersweet, like a coffee with milk and sugar, continues with intense roasted malt and coffee flavors, more bitterness on the finish. Body is more on the light side, carbonation is medium. Overall it's an interesting version of Beer Geek but not one of my favorites.

Poured from a can into a snifter.
Pours almost black, vaguely resembling soy sauce, with a thin, almost white head that dissipates quickly.
The nose is leftover Thai food. The aroma is unlike anything, and it is hard to compare to anything aside from a charred combination of soy sauce, and cacao. Bravo.
The first thing I noticed was the body, it is very creamy, and the carbonation plays into the flavors. Coconut, cream, curry, a moment of sweetness, then a sharp contrast into espresso, cacao, and char. The after taste has notes of dried mango.
Overall this is what I hope for out of mikkeller. A beer that resembles nothing else, and still manages to to be fantastic. If you like Thai flavors, coffee, and beer, this is certainly worth the try. I don’t think this could have been done any better.

Pours pitch black with small mocha head
Aroma has cold coffee, toasted coconut, sweet, a bit metallic.
Taste is coffee and bitter chocolate in the beginning, then very sweet with mango, coconut, clearly brewed with lactose, hides the abv very well.
