Strong cucumber notes on start. Cilantro honts mid-palate with chile on finish. Lime holds them together.

A: Pours a clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering about 85% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of freshly cut cucumber over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts. Light aromas of cilantro, lime citrus, and raw bell pepper/chile pepper. Hints of lactic tartness.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of slightly sour wheat malts with a slightly stronger than moderate flavor of fresh cucumbers. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of cilantro and lactic tartness. There is a moderate flavor of lime citrus. Finally there is a light flavor of lightly spicy chile pepper in the finish. Light amounts of lingering tartness.
M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a light amount of acidic prickliness.
O: I'm always up for trying a cucumber beer but sometimes they are great and sometimes kind of awful - this beer falls into the really good camp. The combination of flavors from the cucumber, lime, cilantro, and chile pepper is really successful in the base Berliner Weissbier. Super easy to drink and very refreshing.

Hazy yellow hued liquid capped with a slim layer of white foam. Garden fresh green aromas mix with a low grainy wheat note. Leafy green plants, cucumber, and bell pepper. Flavors of cucumber, grass, brine, and a satisfying fresh grain note creeping in the finish. Light, crisp, and tart without removing the enamel from my teeth. Just a little bit of lingering heat in the throat. The lime and chili seem to be MIA flavor-wise, but the green freshness mixed with a tart acidity make for a super refreshing beer.

Getting their summer on in a hurry, the San Diego Mikkeller team is skipping right past spring and heading right into the bright and hot weather taste of cucumber, lime and chile pepper. Layered on a northern German-style sour wheat base ale, the dry, tart and refreshing flavors are certain to brighten the palate.
Pale gold and with a spritzy, low-lying champagne froth, the ale bursts onto the nose with the bright tanginess of citrus, cider and melon. A light glaze of wheat malt shares a sense of sourdough, baking bread and hard lemon candy.
As the ale splashes against the tastebuds, its sweetness and breadiness drifts away and the beer's fundamental taste of lime, lemon, green apple and sour white grape cuts through the thirst with its clean and dry lactic sourness. But the magic of the beer is in the bright and floral flavors of cucumber and cilantro that keep the session flowery, light and delightfully like honeydew melon. Chilies play delicately on the finish as a mild waft of burlap and brine persist afterwards.
Light and zesty on the tongue, the beer's champagne-like carbonation provides a carbonic peppery bite of its own to bring a grassy, chile, peppercorn spice to decorate the finish. But it's the beer's clean acids that make it a true summertime staple.
