Bursting with floral hops and a soft cracker-like malt structure, layers of sunflower and pineapple develop a delicate hop profile. With hints of earth and slate, a snappy finish awakens the palate with medium hop bitterness and a dry backbone.

Poured from can into glass. Golden color, clear with white foam. Aroma dominated by noble hops. Flavor is hop forward with a nice crackers/toast malt note. Medium body, smooth finish. A stellar take on the style. Flavorful, fresh, complete. I'd drink this all night long.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Clear golden color with a huge fluffy white head, with decent retention and lacing. Very visible carbonation.
The aroma is crisp. Grains, crackery malts, straw, and grassy hops. It's also quite floral and fruity smelling as well, with notes of pineapple, citrus, and grapefruit.
Taste is surprisingly more fruity/sweet than I expected! Along with the grain, bread, cereal, straw, and grassy hops that I taste in a crisp pilsener, I taste grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, and pineapple as well. Body is medium-feeling and smooth.
Really good.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a Bodum glass.
Smells delightfully floral and fruity, but tastes more standard lagery with a smack of sweetness and an almost tart, clean finish. Overall very drinkable, but not particularly memorable.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that consistently left a short head covering the surface and specks of bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of floral and grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of floral and grassy hops along with hints of grainy malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a nice mix of floral and grassy hops. It is a good representation of the style.

Aroma: Grainy malt, grass, corn, citrusy rind and a light floral character.
Taste: Similar to the aroma with grainy malt, grass, corn, lightly floral in the background.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Clean and refreshing. Good for a hot day.

i feel like over the years mikkeller has done about all one could ever do with this style, yet they keep putting new ones out there. i love the constant innovation and improving and ida spawning that is mikkeller, and this pils is quite obviously the product of a lot of brewing and learning, its flawless, and while its a bit hoppier than most would look for in the style, its of the finest quality and the pint can drinks real nice. the cool thing about this beer, is that its as crisp and clean and dry and fresh and easy drinking as any pils in the game, but they have managed to pack more flavor into the same package, with this being a rather hoppy take. still quite european though, as bold as the hops are, its a very old school profile, grassy and dried and floral tasting to me, with a moderate bitterness and an earthiness thats real compatible with the bready nature of the lager yeast. this is robust and refreshing at the same time, and is carbonated aggressively too. awesome stuff, you almost hate to have purchased a single can of this, because its one of those beers you want to make a night out of drinking. this is delicious, a real cruiser...

Pours a clear golden color with a huge, fluffy white head that was so well retained that there was some left after I finished the beer and there was tons of lacing. Smell is fairly mild with notes of crackers, floral hops and a hint of citrus. Tastes more of floral hops than most pilsners with moderate bitterness, grains, light citrus notes and some sweet malts. Light bodied, highly carbonated, crisp and clean.
