Hazy and full of citrus, Big Hazy is a big ale full of flavor that essily hides the 10.2% abv. Extremely well-done Mikkellers! Said it before and Big Hazy proves that the San Diego area is the epicenter for amazing beverages!!

The beer pours out a full on hazy golden yellow color, with 1 finger of white head------------- the aromas are of oranges and alcohol(light aroma)------------ the flavors are of oranges, basil, apricot and grapefruit pith, the beer has a full mouthfeel with a light bitterness on the finish----------------- overall this beer was good the nose was really light but the flavors made up for it, and this is no session ipa the alcohol let's it's self be known that it's a big bitch

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/16/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 10.1%. Overall this is a fantastic NE DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink, with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Amazing soft mouthfeel. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank hop complexity; perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

This one is proper and naughty. Like Simone Simone with her claws out, I’m feelin’ it. Cloudy like Jeff Sessions brain waves, this beer is so murky it might rain on you for days. On the tongue is tropical, so deliciously tropical fruits that I’m sure just tasting them would inspire the late Orson Welles to make another masterpiece. At the end of the day, at the end of the hour, at the end of the minute, and at the end of the second, I like it.
