as a berliner, this somehow seems better than some of the other variants of this i have had, but at the same time, i bought this to be a mango beer, and i can barley appreciate any of it right here. golden and pretty and clear, super light in shade just like the pineapple edition i had recently, a nice big fluffy white head on it too, lasting and with lots of bubbled feeding it. so sexy. the problem is that the fruit isnt here, so even though this berliner seems a little cleaner and better than a few of the other recent variants, more minerals and citrus to the sourness, less of the metal and the strangeness, the fruit really is missing. i wish there was a fresh juicy mango here, because more than any other fruit in the series, it seems to me like this base beer wants mango, and its absence then is just that much more disappointing. however, where i felt this beer wasnt great on its own before, i like it better here for whatever reason, which i can only reckon is the faint mango in here, so i guess its there at least somewhat. great carbonation, light body and low alcohol which i love. others in our group liked it more than me, more mango is needed for this to pop, but its an easy and enjoyable can of beer in its current form.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 6/1/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale straw/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, mango, melon, peach, pear, red apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of pepper, hay, straw, grass, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, mangos, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, mango, melon, peach, pear, red apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of pepper, hay, straw, grass, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lightly tart lemon, lime, mango, melon, peach, pear, red apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, white bread, pepper, hay, straw, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, mangos, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from tang/tartness and yeast spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/sticky/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.7%. Overall this is a nice fruited Berliner weisse. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, mangos, and pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with mellowly tart/tangy/drying finish. This wasn't as lactic as I was hoping for; but it had well rounded lacto/yeast complexity, with balanced mangos and pale/wheat malts. A nicely enjoyable offering, and good style example.

Extraordinarily pale and clear. Surprisingly lasting head which leaves a solid ring of lace on the first two sips with a blanket of thinner bubbles in between.

More earthy than sour but mild smell regardless.

Very sour, deceptively so given the appearance and the smell. I don't pickup on any mango -- it seems like a typical Berliner Weisse to me. Perhaps if this tasted side by side I could capture some of nuanced differences.

500ml can - working their way through the produce aisle, so now, mit mango!

This beer pours a hazy, very pale golden straw colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some widespread snow rime lace around the glass as it slowly but surely sinks away.

It smells of sour wheat grain, subtle tropical fruit (could be mango, I suppose), watery unsweetened lemonade, and faint tart lactic notes. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, a lesser cereal wheatiness, some still indistinct exotic fruitiness, soured milk, an understated lemon acridity, and some very mild earthy and floral noble hop bitterness.

The carbonation is quite tame in its bored-seeming frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and more or less smooth, as the tartness levels here don't merit any concern. It finishes trending dry, the wan fruitiness finally giving up the ghost.

Overall, this comes across like a basic version of the style, where a few mangoes walked through the kettle in rubber boots (what my Mom always said when referring to cheap chicken soup). Easy to drink, and certainly refreshing, but the lack of mango flavour kind of takes the fun out of the implied novelty. Moving on - next up: blueberry!

Pours a clear straw yellow color, thin soapy white head, decent retention, streaks lace partway down the glass. Smell: smells like a straightforward unflavored Berliner... cereal grains, wheat cracker, vague lemon and lactic notes. Taste: lemon and lactic tart/sourness, cereal grains, with a light unripe mango flavor and sweetness emerging at the end of the sip. This is the lightest bodied and least creamy in feel of the variants I've tried so far (I think this is the 6th?). It's still a nice refreshing Berliner, but it's not at the level of the others... it's probably not structurally different, but it certainly feels so.

Look is hazy light lemon lime and poured with a 1/2 finger of white head.

Aroma is very mild. Some tartness and a hint of wheat and mango.

Taste follows nose. A little tart and a bit of wheat and mango. Taste is very mild as well.

Feel is light , thin and airy.

Overall not a bad beer but at 4.49 a can I certainly expected a lot more.
