Huge snow white head with the texture of an icee tops an opaque, sun-colored body. The aroma is bursting with a variety of fruit—pineapple, dried apricot, and lemon peel—but also features intriguing grassy and herbal notes. The taste follows the nose, but the herbaliciousness is now overt in the finish, giving this otherwise preppy beer a big grungy kick in the head. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy but still effervescent due to the medium-high carbonation. Delicious, and a brand new fave for this bi-coastal girl: dank and bright is my favorite IPA juxtaposition, and it works it so well in this recipe.

A: Poured from the Crowler into a Piraat tulip. Body is hazy apricot with a 1-finger off-white head on top.
S: Citrusy - grapefruit, orange peel and grapefruit rind.
T: Follows the nose, with a touch of tropical fruit (pineapple) thrown in. Primarily grapefruit, grapefruit peel & pith, with a touch of herbal or earthy hops as well. Finishes on the bitter side, more like a West Coast IPA than the NE-style that it looks like.
M: Juicy in feel, call it medium in heft. Finishes quite bitter though.
O: Good. A nice mix of West Coast and NE-style IPAs.

Appearance - Pours cloudy orange color with light airy white head.
Aroma - Pretty light grapefruit and orange peel aroma, light amount of malt.
Taste - The tasty is a little heavier on malt and lighter on orange/grapefruit. Bitter orange peel at the end.
Feel - Medium bodied decent carbonation little dryness on the finish.
Overall - In the land of everyone making IPAs really well this one is just ok, it is good but the aroma is a little muted and the flavors as well.

A: Pours a very murky medium to dark golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint burnt orange + golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy off-white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, citrus/orange zest, herbal, and earthy hops over the top of a light aroma of biscuit malts with a hint of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of biscuit malts with a very light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, citrus/orange zest, herbal, and earthy hops which impart a moderate amount of aggressive bitterness which lingers for quite a while.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: An interesting combination of of IPA styles - look + mouthfeel of an NEIPA along with NEIPA hop flavors and West Coast IPA bitterness. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and very enjoyable. I could easily have a couple of these.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a murky and hazy light orange, with a small head and not much lacing.
This smells really intensely herbal and earthy, maybe even smokey, with grapefruit rind, booze, sharp grass, and orange peel.
This is surprisingly quite bitter- it's super herbal grassy and resinous, with an astringent finish. It's got a bit of bitter grapefruit, but there's not much juiciness at all. I love bitter IPAs but this borders on unpleasant unfortunately.
This is kind of hard to drink, with a lingering intense bitterness. The carbonation level is fine.
This is a rare miss from these guys- they usually float my boat.
