16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/17/2017. Pours opaquely hazy dark orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/tropical hops, prickly pear, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical hops, prickly pear, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7.5%. Overall this is a very nice fruited NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical hops, prickly pear, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Juicy and lightly dank hops, with balanced prickly pears and toasty malts. A very enjoyable offering.

Smoothie looking,pink/orange color. Grapefruit and other tropical fruits are in the aroma. Juicy with sharp bitterness. A bit too aggressive for a hazy IPA.

Pours a murky reddish orange with soft foam.

Smell is very citrusy, with primarily blood orange, and some pine and minerals.

Taste is very fruity, with rosehips, orange and some pine, before a bit of booze hits and a hint of something cactusy comes in. Fairly substantial bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.

Overall, a different, but very tasty NE IPA. Pretty inventive,

A: Pours a super murky opaque very dark reddish burnt orange-ish amber (very similar to ruby red grapefruit juice) in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + golden yellow + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/papaya hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness. Light aromas of fruity prickly pear.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel + grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of fruit prickly pear. Finally there is a moderate to strong flavor of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/papaya hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving a lingering fruity flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially crisp with a smooth mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: An enjoyable NEIPA but I'm not sure that the prickly pear really adds or detracts from the base beer. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol.
