L: straw yellow in color. Somewhat unfiltered in appearance but not as cloudy as other variants. As always, a massive 3 fingers of head from a simple pour. Copious amounts of residual lacing.
S: somewhat tart on the nose with slight acidity. Not getting much pineapple on the nose which is a bummer. Malty/breadyness also present with with hints of black pepper and lemon. There is a sweet presence in the beer, but it doesn’t stand out compared to others from the series.
T: again, not much pineapple. In fact, I’m not sure that I would be able to point out pineapple if I didn’t know what I was drinking. I get that yeasty/bready Berliner flavor with moderate tartness and some acidity. That said, really wish there was a greater pineapple presence.
F: thin in body and light-ish in weight. Carbonation is moderate for the style.
O: not my favorite from the series, but I’m still
Glad to have tried. The pineapple is bar-none, but there is a somewhat fruit presence in the beer. As a Berliner in itself I appreciate it. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Light golden hued and fairly hazy. There's a fingernail of eggshell white on top and there's moderate lacing present. The aroma is of overripe pineapple, lactobacilius, and sparkling apple juice. I'm tasting what I would describe as sparkling pineapple juice with a lingering deep tart finish. The mouth offers moderate carbonation and is otherwise very dry.

1 PT .9 FL OZ can
Served in a becker glass
This beer pours pale yellow with a slight haze. It is topped with several inches of white head that leaves some nice lacing.
The smell is tart with a little bit of funk and pineapple.
The taste is tart with some pineapple. I get a little funk through the middle. The finish is dry.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel
It is a decent beer. There is nothing mindblowing about it. It is refreshing on a miserably hot day.

This one pours a slightly hazed light orange color, with a tight fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like slightly funky pineapple juice, Smarties, lemon, and grassy funk.
This is really light, but super drinkable. It could be a definite summer crusher if the price wasn't as prohibitive as it is. The pineapple is light, and plays a supporting role to the light wheat and lemon flavors of the base berliner. There's a bit of grassy and pastoral funk too. I like this a lot.
This is very light bodied, with a wispy but crisp finish, and a soft level of carbonation.
This was very, very enjoyable- perfect for the summer heat.

Co-worker brought me this from Mikkeller Citi Field. 16oz. can into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Nose is yeast, sulfur and just a hint of pineapple juice. Pretty subdued actually. Beer opens a mellow sweet canned pineapple juice mixed with a yeasty tartness. Fruit character is subtle... not bad... but doesn't really show itself either. Light, crisp tartness in the middle with hints of yeast and a lactose-y funk. Solid. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly on the palate and goes down aggressive. Drinkable.
This one's not bad but nothing really stands out here either. A good drinker... but for the price, there are better things in the market in the same style.

It pours a nice and clean yellow colour with a nice white head, remaining all along.
The smell shows a good presence of wheat and some funk.
The taste is quite balanced, crisp and clean. The pineapple is very faint but is present.
The carbonation is vivid and enjoyable.
Overall a very drinkable and light brew, well isn't it what a berliner weisse is supposed to be?

i am becoming increasingly disillusioned with this series of beers, which has jumped all over in terms of enjoyability, but stayed pretty mediocre in terms of the base berliner overall, albeit not entirely consistent in my experience. i had high hopes for this one, pineapple sounds good in a berliner, but its really faint here. the color is pretty, clear and looks like white wine, but with a big fluffy white head rising high and lasting, good carbonation, a really pretty beer, but unfortunately its looks are the high point. its delicate looking too, the opposite of what i saw in the blueberry edition, which was one of the most intensely colored beer i have had this year. the aroma is bready and lactic, pretty clean but not real appealing, mineral forward, even salty, its hard to place, but its a little less than fully attractive to me. there is no trace of pineapple here. the flavor is similar, i taste the wheat, the souring bacteria, and the acidic tang this has, its all very light and rather refined, but maybe the recipe just isnt that great, somehow not that refreshing, which is a hallmark of a good berliner, and hardly any pineapple at all. what was here seems to be largely fermented out, and just a shade of sweetness remains from it, and a metallic element like the can some pineapple might have come from. i wanted fresh pineapple in this, and i wanted as much of it as there was blueberry in that one, but it just isnt to be, and while the berliner itself isnt bad, its not great either, and this one was a let down overall. i have a couple more flavors of these in the fridge, but after this one, i have a lot less stoke to crack them. mikkeller is capable of more...

Aroma is pineapple, wheat and citrus. The flavor is pineapple/sweetish fruit, wheat, salt/minerals and a mix of tart, citrus and lemons in the finish.
