Wow this was incredible. Reminded me of an imperial stout. Outstanding flavor, depth and balance. Canned date 12/18/18. Pours a deep, dark, rich black opaque color with some nice tan head and smallish rings of lingering lacing. Smells of very nice dark roast coffee, balanced milk chocolate, a hint of caramel and vanilla and then maybe a little malt and brown sugar in the background. But the aromas really all centered around the coffee - and man this actually reminded me of an actual hot coffee, with none of the overpowering chocolate, sweetness or "artificial scent" that some other stouts have. Taste follows the nose, excellent depth and balance and the higher ABV was deceptively well hidden. Smooth, syrupy, slightly thick and luscious mouthfeel that coated the palate. Just the right amount of carbonation. An excellent beer!

Sweet like a prostitute that’s workin’ for an extra $20, Raul is somewhat intrigued. So I sip, and I sit, and I sit, and I stare... and it’s not all that bad. Light sugar, sweet, light coffee goodness... I don’t know if I’ll give her an extra $20, but I’ll definitely give her a pat on the ass on her way out.

500 ml can into snifter, best before 8/17/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, raisin, cherry, herbal, wood, pepper, pine, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, raisin, cherry, herbal, wood, pepper, pine, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light pine/herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, wood, pepper, pine, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome hop/roast bitter/sweet balance; and zero acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a fantastic coffee oatmeal stout! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Much less bitter, drying, acrid, and astringent than most of the De Proef brewed Mikkeller stouts I have had. Amazingly rich and well rounded malt complexity; balanced fruity/nutty coffee, and mellow earthy hop presence. Outstanding mouthfeel from the oats and lactose. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Very expensive can, but was well worth it to at least try once.

Pours black with thick chocolate colored head.
Smell is creamy coffee and some chocolate.
Taste starts with lots of roasted coffee, some cream and hits of dark chocolate. As it warms, a fruity, raisin taste develops.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific coffee oatmeal stout, that does remind you of a flat white.
