eyes...
murky, golden mud, one finger of white head on top of said mud, hard to really say anything else, on par for the sub genre style thing indicator
nose...
mango trees with some pine trees in the background somewhere (I swear I can sense them, just can't see them through all these tropicals), there is some hop skunk in there too but mostly this rides the tropical wave
taste etc...
juicy? sure, gotta give it that, I think they nailed it on the heft here, it certainly has some weight in the mouth which kind of elevates it from standard ale (not that I don't love standard ale feel, but adding some bulk to this makes sense), I am very glad to report that the tropicals are not plowing everything else under here, you get them on the high end of the flavor but underneath is a nice bitter hop ride, super alpha bitter? nah, the carbonation is just right here as well, damn this drinks smooth, and the ABV? as absent as my dad on father's day (sad face... just kidding, sheesh, I actually met him a couple times, or at least that is what mom said...), overall this is one balanced experience
verdict?
I was pleasantly surprised by this one, a stupid purple label barely stuck on a can I picked up on a whim (as if I am not used to picking up questionable things on a whim... but that was mostly college, I swear...), super balanced, easy drinking with a big ABV kick, a satisfying experience totally even if I am more the super alpha hop blow your head away with hops guy, I will gladly revisit this beer and if I ever see it on tap I'll probably get arrested, do yourself a flavor, go grab one if you like IPAs of any stripe...

Deceivingly good look, decent mouth-feel, very distracting taste/smell of black licorice.. that's really all I get out of this, really hard to get through and not worth the price tag.

Pours a murky dark orange with thick, soft foam.
Smell is intense with some sweetness morphing into fruitiness and notes of grapefruit, mango and some piney resin.
Taste is powerful, but not intimidating. Again it leads with some sweetness before the onslaught of fruit in the form of peaches, grapefruit and pine. There is a note that I can only describe as chantilly cream, which sounds odd, but works here. Bitterness is nice and soft, as is the finish. Way too easy to drink at this ABV...
Mouthfeel is terrific! Thick and pillowy, with just the right amount of carbonation.
Overall, a truly lethal combo of drinkability and pure power. My favorite triple IPA so far, I think.

Pours a hazy orange creamsicle like with a fluffy white head. Nose is full of sweet malt, citrus pith and apricots/peaches. Taste has notes of tropical fruits, melon, stone fruits and lemon zest. Beer is very well balanced with a big malty presence as well. Gets a touch hot as it warms. Maybe a bit boozy at the beginning as well but enough flavor going on to detract from that. Medium body. Expected a bit fuller and creamier but it does help make the beer less overbearing. Hoppy slightly bitter finish.

Canned date: Has in print but could not read. NOT GOOD.
Poured to Birrateque IPA 18OZ Glass on 9/04.
A: Hazy orange and one finger of clouds.
S: Aroma has sweet malty notes + Apricot + pine.
T: ABV10.5%. TripleIPA. Malts tastes in front. Follow sweetness and hops notes.
M:Heavy body and felt alcohol tastes. Creamy.
O:Some excentric note exist and mild sweetness last long time.
Great IIIPA but do not want to drink every time.

Really hazy light golden color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet malty notes with sweet lemon and orange notes. Taste is sweet and fruity, malty with citrus notes. A bit astringent, dry with a touch of bitterness on the finish. Quite easy drinking for a triple IPA.

Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy one inch white head that was well retained and left excellent lacing. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits with a hint of pine. Tastes of mango, tangerine, papaya, orange peel, some lactose sweetness, pine and a bit of oak on the finish. Medium to heavy bodied, medium carbonation, creamy mouth feel, light bitterness.

L: Hazy & cloudy orange juice look with a small head that left terrific bands of lacing.
S: Tropical & citrus fruits, peels, and rinds with lesser piney hop notes.
T: Follows aroma, but more fruits and less peels and rinds here.
F: Smooth, on the thicker and heavier side of medium, good carbonation, a bit sweet, alcohol very well hidden.
O: A nice, decent triple IPA. Very drinkable as long as you can deal with the sweet fruit juiciness.

L: pours hazy golden yellow. 2 fingers of head with loads of residual lacing. Very nice looking. Haven’t seen many hazy TIPAs, but this looks good.
S: straight fruit. Pineapple, mango, guava, Passionfruit, apricot, papaya, peach, watermelon, pear, and orange all present on the nose. For a triple, I’m not smelling much hops. Literally straight juice.
T: follows the nose. Full of juice flavor, with a slight bitter hoppy finish. Man, all the fruits mentioned above are all present on the taste. On the finish, there is a grassy hoppy flavor with a lingering fruit sweetness. The thing I’m liking is a vanilla-like flavor that is present as well. Can’t taste the 10.5abv at all. This is dangerously good.
F: Medium/full in body with a nice weight. Carbonation is moderate but not overly done. Very nice feel.
O: can’t say much, other than this is my favorite TIPA (New England version at least) that I’ve had yet. Super juicy with a touch of hops. Can’t fully detect the alcohol, which makes it lethal. I’m very glad to have tried. Cheers!
