N.E. style TIPA with a cloudy, deep straw appearance. Dried apricot, mandarin orange, and papaya on the nose. It has a very big body with glances of melon including cantaloupe, that lead into a tickle of guava on the end. The finish has a rounding bite from the higher ABV.

Pours a hazy, almost murky dark orange wth fine, soapy head.
Smell is tropical with notes if mango, pineapple, oranges and a hint of vanilla.
Taste is very mango forwrd and pretty damn boozy. As it settles and warms a bit, it becomes fruitier and notes of apricots and melon appear. Still, a bit too boozy for me.
Mothfeel is full and soft, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice, if a bit boozy triple IPA, with great mouthfeel.

A 1 pint can with a Julian canned on date of 18066, meaning that it was canned on 7th March 2018, ‘I’ll have what she’s having’. Poured into a tumbler glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark orange colour with a slightly less than two finger white head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Over ripe mango, guava, light citrus, dankness, lactose, yoghurt.
Taste: Sweet, mango, apricot, light citrus bitterness, dank, resin, grass with some light alcohol booziness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate to low carbonation.
Overall: This was ok with good tropical fruit aroma and flavours, but the combination of sweetness and light booze together, just wasn’t the best for me.

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a finger and a half high frothy white head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles covering most of the surface, a narrow collar, and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of cantaloupe melon, guava and papaya are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of stone fruits along with hints of guava and papaya. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and coats your mouth. There is a moderate amount of carbonation and no crispness is detectable.
O: This beer is exceptionally easy to drink considering the 10% abv as there are only faint hints of alcohol in the taste.
Serving type: can

A: Pours an extremely murky dark golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + copper colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering a little more than 50% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, tropical/guava, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, and stone fruit/apricot hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of honey + caramel sweetness. Hints of sweet booziness towards the finish.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of honey + caramel sweetness. That is followed by just shy of strong flavors of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, tropical/guava, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, and stone fruit/apricot hops which impart minimal amounts of bitterness which fade almost instantly leaving a lingering fruity hop presence.
M: Medium to full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Slick with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with very well hidden alcohol considering this is a Triple IPA and has a 10% ABV. Really enjoyable with a great hop flavor and aroma and the expected balancing malty sweetness.

Poured from 16oz can into 20oz Sauvin glass. Canning date is in the Julian format, and seemingly incomplete, otherwise I would use online converter.
Look: Dark yellow in color, and oh my, extremely murky and hazy in appearance. Judging by the look alone, it looks like a heavy beer. I got a nice 3/4" frothy head that formed. As I drink the beer, it leaves loads of residual lacing on the glass which is a plus.
Smell: Smells pretty fantastic. Citrus fruits, like grapefruit and orange or present, along with some tropical fruit scents like papaya, mango, and guava. I get some lemongrass, pineapple, nectarine and apricot as well on the nose, maybe some peach. A floral scent is present in the beer, but in the background. Hop presence is noted, but not as strong as you would think from a TIPA. Great smelling IMO.
Taste: Taste is also fantastic. I get that typical citrus fruit flavor, bursting with orange, grapefruit and lemon, but I get a nice complexity which comes from the hops in a more herbal/earthy form. The taste bounces back and fourth between hoppy, fruity, hoppy, then fruity, with a crips bitter finish. I like the earthy and floral notes in the taste as well. The beer has a nice bitter finish, and incredibly smooth again considering it's a TIPA. Can't detect the 10ABV at all. Dangerously good and easy drinking.
Feel: Medium in body, and medium-heavy in weight. Beer has a nice viscosity to it. Carbonation is low to moderate, which seems to change slightly sip to sip. Very easy drinking TIPA.
Overall: At first I gave it a 4.25 overall, but as I sit here writing this review, I become more and more impressed with it. The fruit flavor really bursts as I continue to drink this fine brew, and it complements the hop profile nicely. I am very impressed with the San Diego Mikkeller crew for making a delicious, and fine quality Triple IPA. Might be one of my favorite Triples yet. I am very glad I bought a 4 pack of these. As always, I am grateful to have tried this magnificent brew, and I highly recommend it. Very smooth and easy drinking for a TIPA, and stays true to the hazy style. Also nice having a 10ABV triple. Plus, the name is awesome. Cheers!
