Chin Music is a single-hop IPA we dreamed up with our friend John Segal of Segal Hop Ranch (who also happens to be a huge baseball fan). It’s hopped exclusively with Segal Ranch Chinook and utilizes a very simple grain bill to showcase these amazing and underrated hops.

Copenhagen 14/10 2018. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller Web Shop. Drawing of Guy with cap getting hit in the head by a base ball which apparently results in some kind of music.
Pours hazy golden yellow with big, stable white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is tropical, fermented and with a solid dose of citric notes. Light odor of fermented tropical fruit. Melon, peach and mango. Solid odor of citric Grape fruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Soft, medium thick, velvety texture.
Flavor is medium thick followed by prominent bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and stays with me for a while.
Does exactly what it is supposed to and looks nice while doing it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Pours a pretty, hazy orange with a hick cap of foam.
Smell is piney, but still quite soft, with hints of citrus and apricot marmalade.
Taste is piney and slightly perfumey, with a hint of sweetness. Nice, well balanced bitterness. This strikes me as sort of a west coast version of a NE IPA.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, this seems like it's a half and half of NE and west coast IPAs, piney and bitter, but still soft and fruity. Very nice!
