On draft at Mikkeller DTLA. Dark black body, half finger white head, no retention or lacing. Smell is dark fruit, brandy, oak, light vanillin, milk chocolate, touch of roast. Big dark fruit, fairly sweet on the palate, not surprising. Full bodied, lower carbonation, sweet brandy milk chocolate and even a bit of bitter cocoa on the finish, but otherwise overly sweet.

Finally got to try the brandy variant. Very similar to the whiskey x in appearance. After that the brandy takes over. Way too sweet. A little unbalanced. Nowhere near the same quality as the whiskey but a good effort for the abv.
