Collaboration with Root + Branch Brewing
Brewed in collaboration with our friends over at Root and Branch, Ascorbic Fugue is a citrusy melody of a beer. We have for you an American Pale Ale brewed with fresh blood oranges/limes and dry hopped with Amarillo and Motueka. Our whole team (thanks interns, finance, and sales team!) got in on the zesting and juicing for this one! Much in the way a fugue interweaves through a song, the citrus in Ascorbic Fugue is multi-dimensional and intricate.

Pours a hazy yellow with some fine, soapy head.
Smell is very citrusy with hints of pineapple and a an odd, slightly smoky note.
Taste once again has that slight hammy smokiness on top of a very fruity and citrusy base. Dry finish. Kind of odd, but tasty.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very interesting beer, almost like someone poured just a little bit of rauchbier in it. Tasty, though!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
