Collaboration with Casita Cerveceria
Formerly Stop Shouting At Me!
We’re pushing the limits of our system, and brewing bigger and badder beers- this one with our buddy Ryan from Casita Cerveceria. This 12% Imperial Stout is adjunct’d silly with cocao nibs, cinnamon, hazelnut coffee, vanilla beans. It’s dark, deep, and roasty.

Cola-tinted black.
Smells like... Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice, ice cream
Ok. Way too sweet but yum. Weirdly brief endtaste, but aftertaste of burnt sugar for dayyyyyys. So much vanilla and you know I love that.
Pandering, but tasty.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high dense dark tan colored head that settled down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of roasted malts are present in the nose along with notes of cocoa nibs.
T: The taste has flavors of cocoa nibs and dark roasted malts, the latter of which lingers into the finish.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste follows the smell but seems lighter and not as toasty comapared to other beers in the style.
Serving type: can

Pours jet black with some fine chocolate colored foam.
Smell is thick and roasty with notes of coffee, coffee grounds, dark chocolate, bourbon and some cinnamon.
Taste is powerful with big waves of coffee, chocolate, oaky bourbon and some cinnamon and figs rolling over you. Some warmth adds a hint of vanilla. Almost no discernible booziness, despite the ABV.
Mouthfeel is medium and smooth, well carbonated. Would have liked it to be slightly thicker.
Overall, a very good dessert stout, that lacks a little bit of body to me.

Tall can purchased directly from the Mikkeller NYC brewery in Citi Field, Queens, NY.
Pours super dark, near black, dark mocha cap leaves some fine and spotty lacing.
Bold nose, loaded with chocolate and coffee....inviting and intriguing
Super smooth feeling beer in the mouth, viscous, liquid velvet.
Flavorful, complex, big and flavorful. Notes of coffee grounds, cafe au lait, chocolate, fudge, vanilla, faint warming spice...totally over the top delicious pastry stout offering from Mikkeller NYC...go get some...note to self - get more then one can next time!
