Another light surprise of a Mikkeller beer that wasn't astronomically priced.
Pours a nice industry lager standard yellow appearance with moderate clarity. White head pushes around the 2/5" range, average retention. The aroma was a higher than average sulphur like yeast presence, something that I like perhaps more than your average drinker. Beyond that, there was a grassy like context to the sulphur presence.
Taste took on a surprising bready contingent malt wise, slightly thicker than your average pilsner, but still within style guidelines. Despite that presence, the good carbonation level kept this in the feel of a light bodied pilsner. Seemed to b traditionally hopped, noble and all that jazz, even if slightly higher bitterness level, again, not problematic nor out of traditional style guideline wheelhouses. Similar to the domestication of the dog, grassiness continues, unabated.
I've never heard of The National, must be hipster indie rock, the fave of craft beer woke ooompas.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose. As the beer warms up, notes of green grapes also become perceptible.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of grassy hops along with hints of bready malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a nice pilsner if you like grassy hops.
