Collaboration with Casita Cerveceria
Imperial IPA brewed with galaxy, citra, simcoe, and cascade. It pays homage to our wonderful sales manager, Sam Speer. During the weeks surrounding our opening, he stepped up in a major way to drive our refrigerated truck to and from our warehouse. The nickname "Big Rig" landed and stuck. If you see him around the city hitting accounts, give him a honk!

On tap at the brewery. From notes. Reviewed 7 August 2018.
4.5/4/4/3.25/3.5
Gorgeous brown-yellow mud beer. Heavy lacing.
Smells hazy (whatever tf that means) and fruity and bitter.
Tastes kinda murky, with way too much of the "right" hops (Galaxy, Citra). Citrus rind, mango, malt.
This will please hazy hopheads, but may not be the best beer.

Pours a beautiful hazy, golden orange with a massive, thick head that leaves tons of curtain-like lacing.
Smell is very juicy with notes of citrus, mango, pineapple and some sweetness.
Taste is sweet with a distinct mango note so start, before pouring in some more tropical fruit like oranges and peaches. Pretty juicy, and a bit boozy. Long, slightly chalky finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a beautiful looking beer, that is a little bit too boozy and slightly thinner than would be optimal.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high dense bright white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrus and passionfruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of citrusy hops—limes and oranges seem to stand out in particular—along with hints of passionfruit. Only a slight amount of bitterness is detectable.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The thing that impressed me the most about this beer was it's drinkability as there were virtually no traces of alcohol in the taste.
Serving type: can

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a cloudy orange with a white head.
Aroma is an astringent orange lemon with a lot of pithy peel notes.
Taste is a lot more balanced an smooth then expected with maybe a hint of vanilla.
Delicious.

We went to mikeller at citifield and had a few ipas. This was our favorite one. Just enough of that “denk” flavor, a little juicy, a little hazy, good bite but not too much. Very good!
