A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color and has some hints of amber and brown hues along with a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving lots of specks of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit citrus and pine are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is mostly dominated with flavors of grapefruit and pine and has underlying hints of oranges and peaches with slight bits of caramel malts and alcohol. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The crispness—particularly from the pine—lingers into the finish.
O: This Imperial IPA has a nice crisp "bite" to the mouthfeel that seems to really come out of the piney hops. Although a bit of alcohol is noticeable in the taste, it has the type of drinkability you would expect from an 8% abv beer, not something that clocks in at just over 10% abv.

Appearance: A hazy golden straw color with an apricot center. Nice head with minimal, stringy lacing. Good retention.
Nose: Subtle but clear and clean. Mustard seed, white crackers, wet straw. There is an unmistakable funk up front.
Taste: Crisp at first with perfect malt balance which leads back to a carbonated end. Piney and fresh with a pungent wet resin finish. Very faint alcohol heat in the middle. Finish is short and dry. Wet straw with a very faint hint of lemon. This one is subtle.
Notes: My 600th review:) We also sold Sierra today :(

Collaborative effort between Mikkeller San Diego, Crosby Hop Farms, and People Like Us (Denmark)...
Medium-gold color and essentially clear, with a coupla fingers of white head on top... West coast-ish triple IPA with a nice pine shellac effect and a tacky resinous sweetness... Bitterness moderate and sticky, sweetness also moderate and sticky... Medium-weight, mild carbonation, and a lingering caramel pine finish... Julian dating indicates an 8/31/18 canning...
