Served in a tulip from the can.

Appearance: comes off hazy goldish to amber color with medium bubbles on the body.

Smell: pink grapefruit with hints of malt, lift and strong all at once.

Taste: Sweet but malty bitter hops and complex floral accompanied with grapefruit. Citrus is smooth

Mouth: Sticky beer with a medium carbonation. Body is well above full and seriously tasting the beer minutes after you have your last sip.

Overall: Brew is awesome. Might be my favorite Mikkeller beer I have tasted. Might have to visit Queens and buy a case. Salud!

perhaps a little stronger than it needs to be, a touch sweet and malty as they go, a little copper shade of color as well suggests a little bigger malt bill than generally flatters these hops, and there is some booziness here too, but the hop profile is brilliant, and i liked this one as much as any of the hoppy stuff i had at the new york brewery. they use a neat mix of new school hops on this, a melon character is evident, as is some guava or papaya or something tropical that isnt as sweet as mango or pineapple, its very fresh to me, and even has a little bitterness that we dont usually get with this type of fruity southern hemisphere hop profile. there is a lumber sort of density to it, piney even, but it seems more grain derived, something i have picked up in a lot of mikkeller ipa types over the years, it bigs this up a bit, but it works. balanced by a hefty heap of grain here and a lot of body, i think it could be scaled back a little to showcase the hops even better, i rarely prefer my hoppy beer north of 10% abv, maybe its just me, but it never seems in service of the hops to have them so strong. still, this is really fresh and good, cool blend of hop varietals, and a well made beer overall. i like the bitterness with the fruitiness.
