Appearance: Pitch black with a chocolate milk colored head. Average head retention but excellent lacing.
Nose: Molasses, bourbon, light roasted malt, vanilla bean with a cacao finish.
Taste: Syrupy with bourbon soaked cherry. Carbonation is light, perfect for this brew. Lots of syrup and bourbon that is balanced against the cacao bitterness. No heat from the alcohol until the very very end. Even then, you cannot tell this is 14%.
Notes: They could have ruined this one via too light or too heavy a mouthfeel. They balanced it perfectly.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours insanely thick black with nice brown head. Nose is cherries, syrup, bourbon. Taste is really nice and smooth. Definitely getting the chocolate dipped cherries, along with bourbon, lactose, some roasted malts, and vanilla. Mouthfeel is super creamy. Overall, a great sweet stout.
