A very delicious and satisfying NE IIPA. Not particularly sweet and not an overpowering citrus presence, which was nice. The yeast is particularly interesting, there's something there that's almost more reminiscent of an imported beer with this one. The way the malt dances with it is remarkable, and the hops almost sit in the back for a bold and notable support for this remarkable dance of yeast and malt.
I do wish there was a scoring parameter on this website for "Value", as I did pay around $6 for a single 16 oz can for this badboy. I'm not calling it over-priced, but the value of a beer is definitely something which affects how strongly somebody is to recommend that beer.

Subdued sweetness and dank hoppy aromatics on this one. Taste follows for a short time and then I was hit with an almost overpowering hop burn on the swallow...it lingered on the back of the throat for a while. This has decent mouthfeel, but I didn't pick up the juicy or fruity notes that I was expecting on this one.

Right out of the shoot, like Veronica Lake in stilettos, this thang is a sight to be seen. It just poured a perfect, orange hue that glows magnificently in the sun like Veronica after she puts on some Coppertone. As far as the aroma goes, it has me intrigued like a box of Girl Scout cookies after I smoked a bowl of sour kush. I mean, this thing is talking to me. Yet what is life without the sense of taste? And does this bad boi make Raul wanna yell, “Rawhide!”? Not really. It’s a bit of a letdown to be honest. All those super ripe and juicy tropical aromas that are on the nose just fall a bit flat like your Sadie Hawkins date that stuffed herself.
Overall, not bad. But your main man wouldn’t venture with it again.

So the bar for this type of beer is Tree House Julius, and this is pretty close! It may not be quite the 4.5 I gave it but it's better than the next option 4.25. If you like great New England IPA's I can't see how you wouldn't like this a lot.

No canning date, but does have a "best buy" date of 1/09/2019.
L: Pours honey gold in color. A tad darker in appearance than other NEIPAs. Formed a dense fingers width cap which settled rapidly forming a nice frothy ring around glass. Leaves nice amount of lacing on glass.
S: In your face mango, citrus and stonefruit. Orange, grapefruit and lemon, mango, peach and apricot aromas are in abundance. Pine also detectible on the nose. Really awesome and juicy smelling.
T: Very juicy as well. More emphasis on lemon, grapefruit and mango. Apricot-like flavor on the finish. Malts and pine also present in the flavor and comprise the majority of aftertaste. Juicy with a nice hop complexity.
F: Light to medium in body and weight. A little watery and thin for the way I prefer NEIPAs, but it isn't a dealbreaker. Carbonation is higher than normal, but again doesn't deter me.
O: It's an enjoyable beer. It has an outstanding smell, a complex juicy/hoppy flavor and is drinkable for 7.8Abv. Brownie points for the awesome can art. I am very glad to have tried. Cheers!
