Can was about a year old and coffee was mostly faded so this fell squarely into a predicable place, not much to differentiate itself from scores of other similar milk/sweet stouts on the fuller higher abv side. Tasty but not at all exceptional.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that has short retention before settling into a ring around the edge
S- nice fresh earthy coffee aroma up front, along with a vanilla creamy lactose note, chocolate, blueberry, caramel & roast
T- fresh coffee notes follow the nose, with a distinct earthy/blueberry note coming from the coffee. Mid-palate brings out the lactose, adding notes of vanilla cream and milky sugars. The finish continues the blueberry coffee note, lingers of chocolate and vanilla cream
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel and a silky finish
O- great coffee notes give nice berry flavors throughout

Pours a pitch black color with very thin head. Retention is virtually nonexistent as is lacing. Aroma of roasty chocolate and java. Silky smooth taste with a lot of java and mild chocolate. Heavy bodied with mild to moderate carbonation.
