Grabbed a can at Mikkeller Little Italy San Diego.
Came across as a very nice barrel aged strong ale in the style of a barley wine.
Excellent appreance - golden brown with aged orange shellac and ruby highlights.
Nose and feel very consistent with style and well hiddden abv. Taste was nicely done. Cold start stressed malt, lactose and hops; then wood and rye; coconut, cream came as it warmed and hints of cinnamon arrived as beer came closer to room temp. Lovely layering and flavor evolution.
Overall not especially unique but a very good beer, and great dessert sipper.
