From the tall boy can in a pint glass. This excellent quencher
pours a chill hazed golden color with a modest head of white
foam that settles to a thick ring and layer with nice lacing.
Nose of citrus rind of orange and lemon, cracker, and spicy hop
notes. Flavors excel by presentation over the nose with cracker
and soft grain notes that dance about lightly tart citrus of orange
and lemon zest with some herbal hop notes as well as pink
grapefruit elements. Nice mouth feel; medium light body,
medium carbonation, crisp, clean, and lightly bitter on the
finish........what can I say other than more excellence
from Mikkeller.

Cheers

Pours a clear yellow with fluffy head.

Smell is crackery and citrusy, with notes of yuzu, grapefruit and some rye. Crisp and clean.

Taste is clean with a big punch of yuzu right upfront. Backing notes of malt, grapefruit, rye and lemon peel. Soft bitterness and very refreshing.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a nice, clean pils with a juicy yuzu hit.

16 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 5/13/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/rind, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of yuzu, pale malts, and earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lightly tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/rind, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/rind, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of yuzu, pale malts, and earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no astringent hop/fruit flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and lightly acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is an excellent fruited German Pilsner. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of yuzu, pale malts, and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/drying finish. Not overly bitter/aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of vibrant yuzu citrus, clean pils malts, and earthy noble hops. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing running down the sides.
S: Light aromas of yuzu fruit are present in the nose along with notes of bready and pilsener malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has stronger flavors of pilsener malts along with hints of yuzu fruit. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The yuzu fruit aromas and flavors in this pilsener aren't that strong, but lend an interesting twist to what might otherwise a typical pilsener beer.
