Copenhagen 20/10 2019. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Mikkeller Beer Geek series usual design with a Keith Shore Drawing of a little guy with a black hat hiding in a coffee cup. This time with a clear Blue background.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is intense, very sweet and seemingly infused with the Christmas cookie Spice assortement. Brown sugar, syrup and chocolate with a bitter edge. Cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Sharp and herbal.
Medium carbonation. Thick, oily, fat texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by medium strong, herbal, spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with some dark chocolate bitterness in the finish. Lingering.
Well made - but I guess waffles with Christmas spices will never be my favorite breakfast.
