New England Style IPA made with Kiwi Juice and Dry Hopped with Hops from New Zealand. Big aromas of meyer lemon citrus with a soft background of sweet blueberries from the New Zealand Hops. The sweetness of the kiwi juice is cut by a touch of pine and resin.

Not a big fan of this one. I don’t know if it was the addition of the kiwi, or if it was just a little bit too sour and too tart, but it didn’t agree with me. Canned date 6/19/19. Disappointing since I usually really enjoy beers from Mikkeller. Pours a nice slightly darker golden color with some fluffy white head and scant lingering lacing. Smells of some tropical hops - mango, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, tangerine and melon. Also some malt, vanilla, floral and herbal hops. Taste follows the nose, except that there was an overwhelming sense of kiwi and melon sour tartness. I’m not sure why it was so imbalanced, and overall this beer reminded me more of a sour than an IPA. Threw me off and I couldn’t really enjoy the rest. Mild, thin, slightly sticky mouthfeel with good carbonation. Again, it wasn’t bad, I just couldn’t appreciate the addition of the kiwi tartness. Definitely not what I was looking for in a NE style IPA.

Here is the thing. I am by no means an expert “beer guy” but what the fuck is this beer labeled as a NEIPA for? Not even close. I have no idea of what the guy reviewing this beer below me is smoking but it is way better than mine.

Looks nasty, smells like rotting fruit. Taste is sour Granny Smith apple. What a joke. My score is probably on the high side to be honest. This is the kind of beer that pisses me off. Bought a 4 pack and will give away the other 3. Ugh!

Unique brew, the kiwi really comes through, it’s a bit tart, sort of overpowers the hops. Worth trying if you like fruity/tart IPAs.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/19/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense/creamy/rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tart/tangy kiwi, strawberry, fruit skin, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of kiwis, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tart/tangy kiwi, strawberry, fruit skin, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and kiwi tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy kiwi, strawberry, fruit skin, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwis, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and lightly acidic/tangy/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.4%. Overall this is an fantastic fruited NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwis, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish; great soft feel. Feels like Motueka, Pacific Gem, Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin. Extremely juicy hops/fruit, with some dank/earthy notes; and an awesome balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
