Collaboration with Mikkeller Brewing San Diego
Belgian-style Brut Golden Ale with Riesling Juice and Pear Puree. Fruity esters and spiced aromas coming from the traditional Belgian yeast. - While the Riesling and pear additions lend a sweet white wine character, with notes of gooseberry and melon. Brut offers a super dry finish and its golden glow and effervescence are a nod to popping open some bubbly.

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of candi sugar are present in the nose along with notes of pears and hints of Belgian yeast.
T: The taste follows the smell, but has stronger flavors of pears as well as Riesling grapes to pair along with notes of candi sugar and hints of Belgian yeast. Only a slight amount of alcohol is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the taste of this beer did a very good job at combining the fruitiness of the grapes and pears with the base of the Belgian Strong Pale Ale.
