Dark and foreboding until you take the first sip, this beer is a bit of a trickster. Approachably tart with restrained sweetness and just a hint of bitterness makes this drink like a salted chocolate truffle in liquid form.

Dark, dark brown pour with a finger and a half of mostly fizzy tan colored head. Aroma has chocolate notes, and is otherwise hard to pinpoint. Taste is....different, but not in a great way. I don't dislike it necessarily, but I can't quite make out what it's trying to be. I pick up a little bit of the sea salt, and can definitely get the cacao, but there's nothing here that makes me think of a gose. Very thin feel and somewhat under-carbonated. Overall, very "meh".

Was unsure what to expect from a dark Gose - was tart without too much sweetness and overall an extremely pleasant beer.
