Copenhagen 23/6 2020. 50 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. A deep green can decorated with a Keith Shore drawing of seven (!) small men with hats and a giant lady in white all playing around with hop flowers. Snow White perhaps.
Pours milky, hazy yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a medium strong sweet, fruity odor with a citric, notes of grape fruit and lemon. Light touch of pine.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent if a bit on the thin side. I am a bit unsure what's so modern about it.

look: two finger foamy white head with great retention, a load of rushing carbonation in the beer, beer is a super murky hazy amber colour, looks great.
smell: fruity and juicy, lots of orange juice, mango as well, a gentle piney character, quite floral, earthy, nice bit of caramel, grass, light bit of golden syrup, nicely sweet, pretty inviting.
taste: quite malty on the opening actually, biscuit and white bread, lot of caramel then, it’s really sweet but in a way i like, a tonne of orange juice, less mango then on the nose, golden syrup, light pine flavours, once again there’s this hard to pin down floral character to it but it’s really there especially on the finish, lightly bitter on the finish, interesting stuff, i’m a fan though.
feel: medium bodied, highly carbonated, syrupy, bit of warming on the back of the throat oddly enough even though it’s only at six percent, the high carbonation and the warming from the alcohol gives the beer an almost belgian-esque mouthfeel, very drinkable.
overall: enjoyed this one alright, also a big fan of the 500ml can, nice to get a good craft beer in a big can for once, good stuff.
