Copenhagen 17/3 2020. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Blank metal can with a sticker. On the sticker is a drawing of a guy in black with a black hat lurking about with a glass of beer (in Bruges, I suppose). Apparently a hazy Belgian style IPA.
Pours opaque and hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong smell of sweet exotic fruit and a more subtle odor of citrus fruit. Light yeasty odor peeking in. Clementine and peach. Reminiscent of lemonade. Lime and citrus fruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger, tart, citric sour bitterness. Aftertastes citric and bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Not entirely evident to me where the Belgian influence comes into the picture but a fine NEIPA with a healthy bitter bite.
