Luscious Black Lager brewed with cherry smoked malt, crystal malt, black malt and finished with a kiss from a single Carolina Reaper pepper. Deep mahogany in color with rich earthy and malty sweet aromas. Medium body and a slight creamy mouthfeel lead to notes of subtle smoke and balanced bitterness similar to dark chocolate.

A: The beer is nearly black in color - only slight traces of reddish brown are visible near the corner of the glass. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with strong notes of smoked cherrywood.
T: The taste follows the smell with the flavors of smoked cherrywood lingering into the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked how the smoked cherrywood added depth and complexity to the smell and taste of this lager without being overpowering.
