Porter brewed with Crystal, Rye, Pale Chocolate and Honey Malts. Pacific Northwest hops additions add a dry balance to the deep roasty flavors and malty sweetness. Aromas of mild coffee, faint baker’s chocolate, and toasted bread. Notes of dark chocolate and hints dark rye pumpernickel bread dominate the palate with malt and hop bitterness lingering. Curl up in a blanket and sip on this seasonally perfect Porter while you contemplate why you live in New York during the winter.

A: The beer is very dark brown in color and black when viewed from afar. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of roasted malts are present in the nose along with strong notes of dark malts.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of dark malts and quickly transitions to those of roasted malts, which linger into the finish. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and somewhat dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has lots of roastiness in the taste but has the drinkability that you would expect from a porter.
