Copenhagen 19/5 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. As "Mikkeller Baghaven opal". Purple version of Baghaven’s usual label design with a drawing of the brewing facility out on Refshaleøen.
Pours opaque, murky amber with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with tart sour unripe berries. Sweetie plums, fruit brandy. Tart gooseberries. Vinegar. Touch of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Sour brew with a touch of sweet Plum brandy.

Drank with a friend at Beerhouse, Funchal.
From my mental notes, a week ago.
A: Pours an oxidated peach colour turning more brown-ish than orange-y tone. Head is gone really quick as you'd expect from a lambic-inspired ale.
S: The aroma is very interesting with a great apricot nose with a more expressive funky note of horse blanket.
T: The taste is very good with the milky sweetness from the apricots pairing very well the funky tart note from the sourness of the cherries as well from the brett-like horse blanket funkiness.
M: Body is medium high as a great amount of sediments are present in here. Carbonation is reasonable. Alcohol is unnoticed. Bitterness is medium high, acidity is high.
O: A very interesting beer coming out from the Baghaven production. I'm fan from this Mikkeller segment.
