Poured from a 25cl bottle into two 1/2 pint glasses. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist! Extra special thanks to brokenleadedcask for the awesome and unexpected wedding gift!!!

Holdbar til 31/12-2012

A: Pours a thick and silky midnight black color. A creamy dark mocha head forms up to about 2 fingers thick before settling down to a thin collar.

S: Big burnt malt, smoke, and charred barrel notes. Dark chocolate, dark fruit, brandy, fudge, vanilla extract, and cherries.

T: Same as above with even more emphasis on the charred barrel flavor. Snatches of caramel pop in and out here and there before being thoroughly trounced by the hugeness of the char and burnt malt flavors.

M: Actually quite smooth and sweet before the dry and bitter char hits. A bit of solvent alcohol strips the tongue but some sweet and slightly tangy fruit hangs around for quite awhile.

O: This was pretty frigging good and I must say, the 1/4 liter bottle size was perfect to share with my wife.

Bottle. Pours black with a thick chocolate colored head. Aroma of booze, vanilla, and roasted malt. Flavor of roasted and charred malt notes initially with a sweet, boozy finish. Rich palate. Good beer, but it didn't particularly wow me. A little bit heavy on the alcohol, although I guess that's expected with a 12.3% abv.
