This sat in my cellar for a few years, until it was crushed January 2018. Surprised to not find it either on untappd nor here, hence why I got off my ass, cropped and uploaded a photo for the first time (subject to approval i've read). I believe it was 12% abv but not 100% sure on that one, didn't catch the abv in the photo.
Pours black. Smallish 1/4" light brown head. Good aromas here, dark roasted malt, bourbon barrel and coffee. Just a straight up nose with no funny games, brings the good stuff. Seems like a wet barrel, good amount of barrel to it, but not so excessive it dominates every aspect of the beer. Even though the beer was a few years old, the coffee was still noticeable, enjoyable, well done, sure it had that black coffee diner vibe, but that's what age does, and I tend to like aged barrel aged coffee stouts more than the average guy, so the system works. Carbonation was slightly lower than average but entirely appropriate. One of the better, straight up Mikkeller beers I've had.
