Poured into a tulip glass.
Black with cinnamon colored bubbles and lacing around the glass
Rich, dark and complex flavors: dark chocolate, Bourbon, and dry baking spices (pumpkin). This one commands you to sip it and at 13.5% it is hard to do anything but.
I can see why it says 'SHAKE' on the bottle. Pricey but worth trying at least once.

Flat black with a moderate head of dense mocha foam settling to a sparse film and bubbly ring.
Smell is fairly roasty, nutty and woody--even boozy of bourbon--before hints of something more like sweet potato pie and brown sugar pop in.
A touch of red hot cinnamon from the nose translates to a more attractive cinnamon on the palate, with an almost smoky mocha quality to it. This is impressed by deeper caramels within the nose's brown sugar that hints at brulee, where the bourbon enhances that caramel with vanilla qualities. While pumpkin is present, it's tempered and mild, and itself roasted. However, the ginger becomes slightly distracting as it warms, even creating a ginger chew-like note in the exhale.
The moderate body is nearly viscous, but cut by a sharply fine carbonation. It's pretty warming on the palate, but also up into the ears, finishing semi-dry, a little chewy, and lightly sticky.

Midnight black body with a tiny brown cap. Aromas of cinnamon, pumpkin pie, lots of bourbon, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some maple, seems like this one will be massive, but as a nose it is more simple than expected given everything in it. Take a sip and holy cinnamon batman! It punches you with a fist of bourbon, cinnamon, and roast, wow, unrelenting with sugary vanilla and pumpkin pie as the follow up jab, the palate is knocked out. Maybe around thanksgiving or for a few ounces this is good, but it is just too busy and massive for a whole glass. Feel is heavy, very boozy, warm, spiced and not very smooth at all. Loved the ba shakes this year, but this one missed the mark.
