A blend of one year old barleywine aged on wood with cherries, and a four year old barlewine that has been dry hopped during all four years.
Hazy brownish amber with a medium-sized head.
Aroma is of fruity hops, sweet fruits and caramel. Some warming alcohol as well.
The flavor is very sweet with lots of caramel malts and fudge underneath floral hops, sweet cherry-like fruits and brown sugar. Don't get much tartness. Ends warming and bitter with notes of oak and caramel.
Full-bodied and sticky, but fairly dry finish.
Good, well hidden alcohol. But kind of ordinary, considering what's in it and how it was brewed.
