Bottled shared so generously by Phil for a very special occasion. One out of 40, wow! Thanks a lot...
A: Opaque pitch black, thick, sticky, without any head at all except for very thin laces along the glass.
S: Bourbon, vanilla, decadent chocolate, quite sweet, notes of black soaked fruits and cocoa.
T: Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak. After the first palate come notes of slightly peated whisky. Nice balance with the quite sweet character of the beer. Long aftertaste with notes of black fruits on the palate too. The finish is more on roasted malts with a light bitterness.
M: Smooth, delicate palate, full bodied with a dry finish.
O: A rich, full bier, very tasty with a nice length on the palate, but also very easy to drink, smooth, with undetectable alcohol, wonderful bier!

Thanks for the bottle, Kim! Bottle 21 of 40.

L - Motor oil black pours into my Midnight Sun elongated snifter, looks absolutely menacing in the glass. Wow, midnight chocolate.

S - Sweet dark chocolate malts, teriyaki, almost a green almond hue, stewed apples. The thing that kills the nose for me is a melting black rubber notes, which truly overcome anything else playing underneath. If this note went away it could be grand, but as is this is not good.

T - Thankfully, none of the rubber is in the flavor, which is thrilling. Big, bold cappucino, sweet sherry, milk chocolate, candied apples and dark candi sugar, almost a vegetal twang, green almond and hazelnuts in the finish, maybe some cinnamon, along with rich dark chocolate. Absolutely delicious stuff!

M - Slick oil glugs down my gullet hole, coating my whole mouth with smooth flavor. Just enough effervescence to keep it lively.

O - Like a brilliant imperial stout with a fantastic experimental imperial stout on top. The charred rubber nose hurts it, but the flavor and mouthfeel are unreal. Sadly, doubt I'll ever see this again.

Bottle@Crazy-tasting in gothenburg. Huge thanks to Marsiblursi and his wife for supplying this. You guys rock!

A: Pitch black and very thick. Nice, wee, brown head.

S: Ripe fruit, Chocolate, Molasses, Sherry.

T: Prunes, Raisin, Bitter chocolate, Molasses, Dark caramel, Roasted malt, Port wine.

M: Huge and very complex. Thick as motoroil with a high residual sweetness and very little carbonation.

A work of art if you can cope with the sweetness. Nuff said.
