On-tap at the Mikkeller pub in Copenhagen. This is a variation of the Big Worse/Big Worst series with cherries.
Pours a hazy dark copper color with a half-finger cream-colored head. T he head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing and legs.
Smells of very sweet caramel malts with booze-soaked medium fruits - pears and green apples mostly with hints of tart cherries.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Sticky sweet caramel malt flavors kick things off. Shortly thereafter toffee-covered fruit flavors make an appearance, green apples and pears as in the aroma but now with hints of darker raisin flavors and milder hints of tart cherries. The fruit flavors carry through to a decidedly sweet ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with soft carbonation.
Drinkability is OK. I didn't have a problem finishing my glass however I'm not sure about another.
Overall this was too far on the sweet side to be above average. By no means a bad beer but not worth seeking out - I could see it aging decently though.
