Copenhagen 4/1 2020. 37,5 cl. corked bottle from Mikkeller Web-shop. The SAS Wing Pin Series design in citrus yellow with Keith Shores little signature figure with the black hat in a vignette with wings.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a big, fairly stable, white head. Settles as lumpy, uneven layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense, sharply sour, acerbic and vinous. Citrus and Grape fruit, tart berries, light odor of vinegar. Light touch of funk and wood.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong, acerbic sourness. Aftertaste is sour but with a gentle sweet undercurrent. Finish is vineous and dry.
Sour and dry but not without redeeming, gentle though light sweetness. I could sip this on a SAS plane.
