Copenhagen 18/11 2023. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Light blue can with a fellow taking a bath in a mug of beer.
Pours clear yellow with a big white head. Stable and fluffy. Settles as thin and patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a grassy, citric scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and hints of sweet biscuits. Fresh grass. Citrus and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Solid Pilsener although a bit om the sweet side .

a cool collaboration with budvar, and the first relatively fresh mikkeller beer i have seen in the states for what feels like forever. i used to look at every shop i went to for random mikkeller selections, but since scaling it all back so much here, these feel harder and harder to come by, hopefully some importer is jumping all over them again, i miss the uniqueness of their work. this is pretty basic stuff, but its a rock solid czech lager, as expected from these two, hoppy, grainy, lovely water profile, dry and crushable but still full flavored, no complaints! a richer golden color, pretty clear but not perfectly so, and a gorgeous inch plus of permanent airy white head, intricate lacing, real creamy, an idea cap on this. smells mineral forward, earthy, and lager yeasty, very old world, notes of proofing dough and wet stone, along with a biscuity grain base, hay and straw, and some noble hops in the right place, good balance and quite a bit of personality to this, seems ancient and timeless rather than modern and newly engineered, which i think is a testament to its quality and traditional approach. this is bready, earthy, refreshing and easy but also kind of intricate, and the back end is really hoppy but with only middle of the road bitterness, its still pretty fresh to me, has a grassy complexion, and an almost tea-like note that works well with the malt. european all the way, very well refined, fluffy feeling and with high carbonation, somehow autumnal to me, like a perfect sit on the couch and watch football saturday kind of beer, expertly made. pleased with this, hope to see more mikkeller stuff show up!

440ml can at share. Golden pour with average white foamy head. Malty, grainy aroma. Taste is clean, biscuity, bready with a light crisp finish. Nice feel too.

This is a pleasant Czech style pale lager brewed by two big name breweries as a collab project.
Having had some Mikkeller beers before and being a big fan of Budvar, I expected a lot from this collabrew.
I am not disappointed but my socks are still on. It's a decent pale lager. Poured from a 440ml can, it tasted refreshing and similar to what one would describe as a draft pour. It's not crisp or super vibrant.
It's good. But I won't be buying it again.
