3 inch white cap. Murky copper-brown body. Retention is pretty good - ~7 minutes. Brown specks are visible in the head.
Aroma is quite malty. Bready. Even lightly soapy. Caramel.
Bready. Caramel. Graham cracker? Hop character is extremely poor...barely noticeable at all. Balance is lackluster, favoring the malts over the hops - completely wrong for the style. Overall flavour profile is poor. Stale malt taste is predominant.
Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, fairly well-carbonated.
Drinkable but severely underwhelming. Some of Mikkeller's worst work.

Dark copper body, mild haze, half inch of tan head. Earthy, malty, herbal, grassy aroma. Malt forward. Ok flavor, but certainly not fresh. Please put a date on beers meant to be consumed fresh.

Mikkeller Cluster Single Hop IPA
330ml bottle with no date, consumed 6/17/14, 6.8%, served in shaker pint.
Very foamy. Cloudy dark orange with some sediment.
Clean grassy smell with some light caramel malt.
More grass in the taste. Some initially sharp bitterness on the back end. Slight dry pine taste. Feels more English than American as an IPA so far. Serious head retention with lacing that's Guinness-esque. Any fruit that's in the taste is leaning toward mild citrus. Overall the flavor was okay, not too bitter.
I picked this up as a curiosity to fill the last spot in a mixed 6 and then only because it was marked down by half. With no idea how old this is I'm afraid it's not of great use to judge the characteristics of Cluster hops. Ended up just being a decent English tasting IPA to me.

Bottle: Poured a dirty cloudy amber color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dusty dank hops with leafy notes and some biscuit malt notes. Taste is dominated by dank musty hoppy notes withleafy notes and some biscuit malt. Body is full with good carbonation. Another one where I do have to ask why do retailer keep overpriced IPA which don’t move with no freaking bottling date.
