This is our take on a Belgian classic - but with a hop focus. The idea behind the naming is that the golden iris is used as a mark for Brussels because of the flowers growing by the Senne River bank. As a hoppy trip to Blonde Wonderland, Golden Iris brings you notes of floral goodness along with citrus character from the hops.

Copenhagen 10/3 2024. 33 cl can from Bilka, Golfsvej, Herning. Off-white can with a drawing of a lady and a man hanging on to some strange combination of a plant and a fountain.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with a m id-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a moldy, yeasty scent. Sweet pale malts, white sugar, caramel and bread. Humid old cellar.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of spice.
Rather intense despite a modest ABV.
