Copenhagen 16/10 2019. 33 cl can from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. Ani’other feature in Mikkellers “Funny Danish Expression” series. Keith Shore drawing of grumpy, Green (!) Owl in a hole in a tree giving gemalen beerdrinker the eye.
Quite gushy upon opening. Pours unclear golden yellow with a big white head. Settles as lumpy 1 cm thick layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is medium intense and gets a bit stronger as the beer warms up. Sweet exotic fruit. Intermingling with citrus fruit. Peach, Pineapple and sweet Melon. Citrus, Lemon and hints of Grape fruit.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and bitter but also a bit thin and watery. Lingers shortly.
ine nose and a refreshing beer, but a bit too thin.
