Imperial Chai Spiced Brown Ale brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, clove, and ginger. Rich warming chai spices pronounced throughout in both aroma and flavor while a malt bill consisting of Honey Malt, Chocolate Malt and Flaked Barley produce a subtly sweet luscious body. Supremely balanced and amazingly comforting.

Copenhagen 26/3 2020. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Blank metal can with orange-brown sticker. Keith Shore drawing of the little man with the black hat sitting in a giant cup enjoying a tea jacuzzi.
Pours unclear maroon brown with a medium-sized, dense white head. Settles slowly to a 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is excessively spicy with light sweet maltiness. Nutmeg, cinnamon, fennel, anise and ginger. Light odor of caramel and brown sugar underneath.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense and fairly sweet. Moderate bitterness. Spicy tang. Aftertaste is quite sweet and with a lighter spicy bitterness. Lingers for a bit. Semi-dry finish.
Strange brew emulating a cold cup of chai tea. It actually succeeds so in the end it all comes down to what you thin about tea. Personally I am more of a coffee person.
