Usually not that big a fan of Pizza Port IPAs, but I can’t review all of the beer without reviewing all of the beer. Untappd description about this one read, “This West Coast style IPA delivers barrels of ripe mango and passion fruit that crash with notes of citrus and fresh herbs. One ride in the pit will leave you stoked and frothing for more. Hops: Azacca, Chinook, El Dorado, Blanc, Ekuanot.” Interesting mix of hops I like (not love) and don’t like (Blanc). Let’s go.

Poured a gold-to-light amber clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Very good spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled Azacca right away, followed by lime, pine, Ekuanot, green pepper, melon, El Dorado, herbal, white wine, Hallertau Blanc and woody Chinook. Crazy that I got all of the hops on the nose. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)

The taste followed the nose, but not quite as good. In order got Azacca, lime, pine, cedar, woody Chinook, green pepper, Ekuanot, herbal, melon, white wine and Hallterau Blanc. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

I liked this a lot for a West Coast IPA. Outstanding really. (Overall - 4.00)

Poured a golden and slight hazy look with a nice white foamy head..plenty of carbonation as it was canned 11/04/19. Smell was tropical fruits nice blend of those IPA hops..taste is some bitterness upfront but also a note of kiwi sweetness. I notice some of the hazyness from the suspension of what I presume is the pulp from the tropical fruit profile. Overall I'm likeing this brew a lot for its easy drinking feel at 7.5 alc. and awesome art work

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.

S: Resinous herbal pine, citrus, tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Juicy citrus, tangerine, lemon, and lime, resinous pine, ripe tropical and stone fruit, mango, cherry, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, fruity pebbles, and a hint of white grape, slight underlying herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, super drinkable.

O: Gorgeous can. The beer inside is solid too. New school take on a West Coast IPA. Juicy, but well balanced with bitterness.

Light to medium gold in color with light white head and thin lacing.

On tap in southern California in a snifter type glass.

Mild tropical fruit with a hint of grass on the nose.

Drinks real easy for 7.5. Almost comes across much lighter.
Light on the carbonation with a medium mouthfeel.

Taste is fruity and almost sweet, candyish. A hint of bubblegum?

Certainly not a big, heavy West coast IPA, but a nice lighter, fruitier version without going hazy NE.

Clear golden amber brew with plenty of white foam in the tumbler. Scent of pineapple with hints of cedar and pine. Plenty of malt but just the right body-- substantial but floating on luscious carbonation. Flavor of mango with the cedary woody note. It's a surprising complexity that ends with a moderate bitterness.

This is yet another in the continuing series of hoppy brews from Pizza Port that stay on the clear side. It's not the fruit bomb Crisp, flavorful, and made for a comfortable quaff. From the 16 oz can in the six pack purchased t Barons Market.

From a can. Pours clear and creamy, almost viscous looking. Generous foam cap that lingers for a while. I get a nice tropical chewy taste on this. Low aroma while cold, tropical notes emerge as it warms. Moderate bitterness. Yum.
