Drifting down the cement tides and nestled in concrete pipelines is where the sidewalk surfers dwell. Sidewalk Surfin' DIPA is an embodiment of carving concrete waves. This beer is easy drinking while complex in its own right: with all of the vigor of a double IPA, you'll also notice a smooth mouthfeel with a soft finish and a body just full enough to keep up with the jam-packed hop profile. Expect aromas of citrus and pine with huge pineapple flavor and a touch of resin.

L: Only slightly filtered and more orange than golden. A three-finger orange tinged head settling to half a finger of froth leaving a thick wall of lace.

S: Bitter and hoppy and sticky sweet and citrusy.

T: A sweet double, citrus, and a sticky pine resin. Tiny dank note.

F: Medium sticky body, a little oily but smooth and well carbonated.

O: Underrated and we’ll executed on the sweeter side of a classic west coaster!

This was unfortunately another slightly disappointing beer from Pizza Port. I normally really look forward to trying their beers, but this one just didn’t quite deliver. It was still solid, however. 2/10/20 date printed on can. Pours a slightly darker golden color with a little fluffy white head and some scant lingering lacing. Aromas of crisp grapefruit, pineapple, orange, lemon, weaker floral hops and maybe a trace of bitter piney hops at the finish. Also some malt, bread and weak vanilla. Taste follows the nose, decent balance and flavor. Even though it had a higher ABV, it felt more like a regular IPA than an imperial one. Smooth, mild mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Still an enjoyable beer, just not quite what I expected from this solid brewery.

Still not a Pizza Port IPA fan, but hot damn I’m going to keep trying them. Picked up this one on a recent trip to Trader Joe’s on campus. Pretty much saw that it was a DIPA and had hops of Sultana (not sure I’ve had this one yet), Citra and Simcoe, while pretending that Pizza Port didn’t make it. Online description read, “Drifting down the cement tides and nestled in concrete pipelines is where the sidewalk surfers dwell. Poured a golden, clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the class pretty quickly. Average watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)

Smelled pine, dank resin, Simcoe, black pepper, weed, cat piss, onion, garlic, grass and herbal. More of the same from the can with Simcoe, cat piss and pine coming through with the addition of earthy, grassy malt. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste followed the nose. Very bitter though. In order got bitter pine, dank resin, Simcoe, cat piss, black pepper, onion, garlic, weed, herbal and dry grass. Was getting all that 8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.50)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)

Probably overrated this overall, but very good. (Overall - 3.75)

Oh yeah, feeling it like Snoop Dog when weed was legalized. This is pure West Coast like skipping 6th period and going to In N Out. Feeling this one well and good like using the carpool lane and not getting a ticket.

Yep!
