Jetty IPA is our post-surf session thirst quencher. This traditional West Coast style IPA is bright in color and delivers a swell of hop flavors. Notes of grapefruit and citrus compliment flavors of pine and cedar, leaving the palate with a clean bitterness and a dry finish.
Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Cascade, Amarillo.

$5/pint on-draught @ their Ocean Beach location.
Tastes like a very basic homebrew IPA, and there's nothing wrong with that. Mildly intense citrusy hop profile. Vague juice.
Not dialed in, but drinkable and affordable.

On-tap at the Ocean Beach spot. Was hoping to try Permanent Vacay on draft but just missed it and was told this was a good substitute. And the bartender wasn’t wrong. Just a good, old-fashioned West Coast IPA. Dry, bitter, properly hopped. Great finish. Pairs perfectly with their pizza and other grub.

February 7th, 2016 - Compared to the Big Fish IPA, the Jetty is a milder smelling aroma, and a little darker in color, too. But don't get the wrong idea. This is still a sweet smelling IPA, with a mild and soft carbonation on the body. It's not a thin beer, but has a little more body than Big Fish and doesn't express as being as refreshing. The sweetness is more pronounced, but it feels better balanced, with a medium-long aftertaste. When paired with food (today, this means pizza at Pizza Port) it feels like a pilsener, which makes for a great pairing against the somewhat greasy style of Pizza Port.

Pretty soon these Pizza Port and Stone beers will be having their own 10 year anniversaries. The 16 oz cans are the generous way Pizza Port makes a lot of beers available now. And six packs, not four packs.
This pours a clear amber with an enthusiastic pile of suds in the Duvel tulip. Lovely aroma of grapefruit peel, cedar, and fresh straw. It's clean and rich with a good dose of malt. Flavors of resins dominate with a long, slow bitterness that seems just right for the sweet and substantial malt. Crisp and powerfully flavored, this is for sure a classic IPA.

Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade - this is your recipe for a perfect IPA. I had to have this today, on my birthday, a Pizza Port with a (Domino’s) Pizza.
The beer was awesome, as fruity as it smelled, it was quite bitter but in the grapefruity way, with enough tropical zest. Funny because Pizza Port might not be the best brewery in the world, their brews are always extraordinary with a human aspect, they are very real. Found nothing against this beer, I liked the medium lightness of it along with the hop intensity.
Usually I would prefer red wine with pizza and italian food - unless you’re down on Solana Beach...

Picked up this for the weekend and had the first five before saving one to rate. Gave them all a 3.75, which is usually top of the line for me for Pizza Port West Coast IPAs. Online description read, “Jetty IPA is our post-surf session thirst quencher. This traditional West Coast style IPA is bright in color and delivers a swell of hop flavors. Notes of grapefruit and citrus compliment flavors of pine and cedar, leaving the palate with a clean bitterness and a dry finish. This beer is Pizza Port OB’s signature IPA.” Hops mentioned on the can were Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo & Cascade.
Poured a dark gold-to-light amber clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Excellent uneven lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled pine, resin, black pepper, Chinook, Cascade, Simcoe, grapefruit, herbal and some melon. Better out of the can than the glass. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Definitely a West Coast IPA. Got pine, Cascade, resin, bitter aspirin, grapefruit peel, black pepper, Chinook, hints of Simcoe, herbal, melon, honey and buttered white bread. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Very good overall. Would have another sixer of this for sure. (Overall - 3.75)

This pours a clear gold in the glass with tight foam. West coast ipa! Curious aroma, with a light earthy hop character balanced by some tropical notes. Piney citrus lingers on the drying finish.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Plenty of pine and citrus, light spicy herbal notes, floral, a little tropical fruit, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous pine, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and orange, floral notes, herbal, a little spicy, a touch of tropical fruit, passion fruit, peach, and mango, with a hint of papaya and guava, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, very slightly creamy.
O: Really solid west coast IPA. Just what I've been craving.
