On-tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad
A: The pour is a clear, golden straw color with a short lived white head.
S: Lots of adjuncts, particularly corn. There is a bit of a grassy and straw-like hop note, perhaps some floral qualities too. Sweet apple juice and a touch of cooked grain. Quite a bit of lager yeast, too.
T: Really heavy on the corn and a little vegetal. Cooked grain with lots of straw and a bit of grass. Sweet apple, grain, and sugar. There's a lot of yeastiness here too.
M: Fairly light in body with a medium to high carbonation.
O: One of those beers made for the Bud Light crowd. Too bad, since I was hoping it was going to be a hoppier lager.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ,
A: Pours golden with light white head with solid retention.
S: Wheat, sourdough, hint of vanilla.
T: Light bready malt with an earthy hop background that was just OK for me. Nothing real interesting going on.
M: Light-bodied, thin, not terribly clean.
D: This was OK, I could drink it, but I'd much rather have Amigo out of Port in the same category.
