Appearance was as expected. Looks like a typical stout.
The stout had a good nose with strong hints of the chocolate nibs used in the brewing.
Taste was its strongest attribute. Very noticeable smooth chocolate flavor.
Mouthfeel was its only weakness. Could have used more carbonation
Drinkability was superb. Very good representation of a stlye accurately described as Milk/Sweet Stout.

On-tap @ Blue Palms Brewhouse in Hollywood. Served in a nonic.
Seal-brown body, exceddingly dark yet clear with a creamy finger of desert-sand foam that condenses by half. Decent sudsy lacing and fast running oily tears.
Chocolate through and through in the nose. Light roast malt notes, but primarily fresh hot cocoa and unsweetened darkness. Lush and inviting, one-note or not.
Well balanced: natural cocoa nibs, a rich bittersweet flavor joined by the mild milky tartness from lactic acid. Light roast coffee and toasted malt are just beneath the surface. This isn't a milk stout, it's a CHOCOLATE MILK STOUT - simple, but fantastic.
Medium-light bodied, creamy and smooth, yet still lively and well carbonated.
This could have been too chocolate-laden or cloying, but it isn't either thanks to the subtle lactic notes. Really approachable, and worth seeking out.
